Good production starts with clear artwork, but that does not mean every customer needs to arrive with a perfect print file. The goal is to provide the best version you have and enough direction for the final product.
Best case: vector artwork
Vector files are ideal for logos and graphics because they can be resized without losing edge quality. SVG is a widely useful vector format. AI and EPS are also valuable source files to keep, but upload availability varies by intake method. If a particular upload field does not accept the source format, provide an SVG or PDF when available, or use the project request path so Sky Prints can tell you the best way to send the original file.
PDF files can also work well
A PDF may contain vector artwork or a high-quality raster image. When the current upload field accepts PDF, use the original PDF rather than converting it to a lower-quality screenshot.
PNG and JPG files
Raster images can work when they are large and clear enough for the intended finished size. When the current upload field accepts the format, provide the original file whenever possible. Avoid screenshots, images copied from social media, or files that have been repeatedly compressed.
Transparent backgrounds
For many printed graphics, a transparent background is useful because it lets the design sit cleanly on the product instead of carrying a white rectangle around it. Whether transparency is required depends on the decoration method and the artwork itself.
If the artwork is not ready
Choose Design Creation / artwork cleanup and describe what you want. Useful details include exact wording, preferred colors, placement, style references, and anything that must or must not appear in the design. If you have a rough sketch, old logo, screenshot, or reference image and the current upload field accepts the format, include it as a starting point.
Production-ready review
Sky Prints reviews custom artwork for the production method and final application. When a proof or additional approval is appropriate, that step happens before production moves forward.
